October Baby Favorites

We are entering Aubrey's 12th week of life and I feel like we have figured out what worked for us and what we disliked. I did a lot of research when we registered and also when we purchased things on our own. That being said not everything that got stellar reviews worked for us. Being a new mama these are the things we could just not live without!

These are a MUST have for us. Aubrey turned out to be a very "fidgety" baby early on and the snapped footies just did not work for us. These are quick and hassle free so when your little one is crying in the middle of the night...these are the best!

My mother in law was sweet enough to purchase the HALO swivel bassinet for our baby shower gift. I had done a lot of research and it seemed like it would be very easy for a new mom! WRONG. Im sure the product itself works great but since Aubrey slept on an incline in the hospital bassinet (not exactly sure as to why Kaiser does that..) or was basically held all day...she  DID NOT want to lay on flat on her back. Luckily we were able to exchange it for a Rock and play. It tilts more at an angle and she seems to feel more comforted that way. It also comes apart easily to clean.

Being the germ freak that I am this was a great purchase! Once we wash all of her bottle parts and pacifiers we pop them in the sterilizer, add water and poof! 12 minutes later fully sterilized. It holds 6 bottles with a top tray to hold parts and pacifiers.

This might seem like a silly must have but it made my life SO much easier! We went through two drying racks because of all the bottles we have. This one by far held the most bottle parts and was the easiest to transport to our bottle sterilizer. It doesn't hurt that it is adorable as well :)

This has got to be one of my top favorite baby items so far! We tried the infant bathing seat and a tub that has a sling with an inflatable pillow. Something about being in the bathroom tub she DID NOT enjoy at all. I purchased this just a few weeks ago and so far she loves it! It is very easy to pop in the sink and totally cushions their head and tush. Goes right in the washing machine and dryer!

A playmat is another thing that we purchased a few of before finding the right fit. Since she isn't a fan of laying on her back we had to really try hard to find one that would capture her attention. We realized we needed something that either played music or had flashing lights. Well this has BOTH. She loved it from the first time we put her in it. The great thing about this is it grows with your child and can be assembled in different ways based on their growth.
